Since our last blog post we’ve all been busy here at Adorn, Anna and Rachelle have been away at the Dortmund tattoo convention along with our regular guest artist and friend, Fiona Lewitt. They had a busy few days travelling and tattooing clients as well as each other.
Shortly after they returned, we had Fiona Hambleton guesting with us! We loved having her work with us again and in her 3 days with us, she undertook some beautiful mandalas, plus several lovely colourful pieces like these birds and a large Geisha lady.
Anna has been working on lots of floral style pieces starting with these watercolour cherry blossoms on a hip as a first tattoo for a client. Anna then worked on a very classy vintage style floral piece on the inner bicep. She then got to work on some black and grey pieces, like this graphic style bird’s nest - and an owl in a similar style that looks great!
Rachelle got to start a tattoo on the lovely Fiona Lewitt’s hand which she will get to finish when she next comes to visit us. Rachelle also did a large henna style tattoo on a young lady’s back as her first tattoo and she sat super well! Everyone was really impressed with Rachelle’s latest cover up work, using a large microphone and beautiful roses and we got a great before and after photo for her…
Chelsea has been doing some excellent work with our neometal jewellery with this mint green triple helix piercing using a flower, trinity and single prong which is always a great combination. Chelsea also used one of our anatometal clusters in turquoise stone in this fresh helix piercing on a lovely customer of ours. We’ve been doing lots of navel piercings lately in preparation for summer and this lady chose a champagne Swarovski crystal princess cut bar by industrial strength, for her fresh piercing which we all loved! She then had a slightly different piercing of some ear lobes pierced straight at 4mm using some gorilla glass single flare plugs to give the client a head start at stretching his ears safely.
Aiden got to use one of our favourite pieces of jewellery made by BVLA in this ladies nose piercing. She’s been waiting 7 years to get this piercing done and chose an incredible flower, made out of mystic topaz and set into solid rose gold to treat herself. Aiden also did a young girls first piercings ready for her prom and her mum let her choose a stunning high quality piece of anatometal jewellery in champagne Swarovski crystal to match up to her dress. A regular client of ours came back to see us and added some more gold and opals to her collection with an anatometal 2 point Sabrina end - and also upgraded her existing nose piercing (not by Adorn) to a yellow gold Sophie’s tear by BVLA with a marcasite stone in the center. Aiden then re-pierced a pair of nipples using white opal cabochon bars made by industrial strength (pizza cats to keep internet police happy!)
We’ve had the lovely Marie with us the last two weeks doing some excellent work, so keep an eye out for our next blog update to see what she got up to while she was here!
