Guest artists and tiny dogs

We’ve had lot of visitors the last few weeks at Adorn! We’ve been working with the lovely Marie Hirondelle and her partner Philipe exploring Shrewsbury and inspiring us all. It’s been lovely hanging out with them, here’s a few examples of their work as well as the rest of us at Adorn!

When we announced Marie was working with us, we had so many enquiries about her pre drawn designs, particularly her cute and unusual animals and a lot of the tattoos she got to do were taken from her design book. She did this kitsune fox first on a ladies upper arm - and then a little beetle on another ladies forearm. She then tattooed a fox on our jewellery lady Katie’s ribs and a unicorn as a young girls first tattoo and she was very brave!

Anna has been doing a lot of unusual animal related tattoos recently! She did this beautiful gold finch with milk thistle and a stunning stag head in watercolour style.  She then did a little mountain gap filler to add to a sleeve she’s been working on for a few years which we love the colours of, then finishing with a stunning bird of prey that Anna would love to do more of!

Rach has done some incredible line work pieces with this stunning graphic flower piece as a first tattoo for the client which she loves! She also began working on a Mandala on the back of the calf which will soon be added to with some dot work shading and looks great already! She then did some full colour work with a little pizza on the inner bicep, and finally she did a rework of an old tattoo the client has done years ago and gave it a nice update and added twist which we love!

Chelsea has been busy lately covering for Aiden while he and Anna are on holiday, she got to do this nose piercing using an anatometal Swarovski crystal set in 18k rose gold with a helix piercing to match which looks so pretty! She then did another nose piercing on another customer for her 16th birthday using a small white opal by neometal that she chose. She also did a helix piercing using a small anatometal cluster with three clear Swarovski crystals. We then had a regular client who got her vertical labret pierced by Chelsea after weeks of waiting and fell in love with a neometal moonstone which made everyone in the shop jealous!

Before Aiden left for his holiday he had been using lots of our BVLA stock! He pierced a triple forward helix using some tiny prong set CZs by neometal to compliment the mini kandy she chose in white gold with a mercury mist topaz in the centre. Then one of Anna’s tattoo clients couldn’t resist chosing herself some more gold pieces while she was with us, we previously used the snowflake in her tragus (not pierced by us) And she chose a marquise fan for Aiden to pierce her helix with complimented by a body gems dome, very elegant looking! Aiden then used an anatometal  5 gem cluster in an initial conch piercing which he’d wanted to use for a while! Finally a regular travelling client custom ordered a piece from BVLA through us and came back to have it fitted – this Sarai pear was custom made into a ring by the lovely team at BVLA and used genuine amethyst and Swarovski crystals in rose gold in her happily healed helix piercing.

Next week we have Dave Rustro returning to work with us! We look forward to seeing him again, but in the meantime here’s Emily and Katie being distracted by tiny dogs our customers brought in.  More tiny dogs please!
